We all know the very old and popular story about unity is a strength proverb in which the dying father tells his son about the importance of unity through the example of sticks. But, knowing the story and the moral of the story since childhood many like to ignore that moral and look for or fight for silly things over the benefit of the strength of unity. The concept of unity not only belongs to one family but one society, one nation, and humankind. People are forgetting the motto of their life and becoming selfish over small things that are weakening the unity of many people around the world. Though, it can be over land, money, power, religion, caste or any other reason. But all these reasons are weakening the strength of a nation or society. People should understand that going hand in hand and with support from each other is the only way of growth. There are some negative minded people from the society who fuel such kind of unity impacting thoughts and bake their bread on that. But, one should understand the mentality of such people and should stay away from them or can just ignore them for the sake of goodness.
To give an example of how unity can be strong and how one can tackle the toughest situation by unity. Recently, the news was running over the news channel about how the group of dogs made the tiger runs away from the area where he accidentally landed. This happened when the tiger was about to attack one dog and was going to make him his food. Analyzing the situation many dogs in that area came for the dog and saved him very bravely. The dogs didn’t care about their lives too and thought that if they attack the tiger in the group then surely it will save their friend and that is what they did. They saved their friend’s life and proved that how unity can overpower the problem in life. If this can be implemented by an animal then we human beings are much intelligent and understanding than them. Unity in society is very important to increase its strength. At the moment looking at the current scenario in our society the proverb needs to be implemented practically.
With unity, one can achieve anything in life and that achievement is not limited to the individual but it will be a step of growth and is going to increase only. The development of society needs unity and hence everyone should encourage unity right from their family. Now one can only insert the seed of unity in childhood. It should not only be a theoretical term but the teachers must make the students understand the meaning of unity practically. It may be through workshops or any surprise test in which they would understand and feel the meaning of unity. Once they understood it and realized the importance of unity they would remember and implement it for lifelong. Now, this would not be limited to them they would surely spread the importance of unity in their friends and family and even to their next generations. So, one seed of unity would stay for life long and it will be a good initiative and practice for every society around the world. Unity is strength and one should not underestimate the power of unity. Because when nothing works unity will always protect you from every difficult situation. So, understand and spread the importance of Unity and make your nation, society, and family strong enough to survive in any situation.
